I miss how long those multi hit moves use to be. They would actually have every hit land seperatly so it was satisfying as fuck when you actually caught someone with it.

I don't get what people have against FLUDD. A windbox move adds utility to complete his role as the most well rounded character in the game. Gimping with it can be so satisfying too.

In Smash 4's case, they memed Dr Mario's weight too hard and made it impossible for him to recover. Tornado also doesn't recover vertically as well as it used to so it feels like a dead weight move in comparison to FLUDD which at least lets you pull off some funny surprises now and then. Dr Mario also doesn't spike with his forward air for some fucked up reason. All in all, 4's Dr Mario is basically slow heavy Mario with a lot of his best options nerfed or just gone. He hits harder and farther sure, but it's not entirely worth the drawbacks.

For mario kart I can sorta understand, but he's pretty popular for Smash. Everyone kinda plays every character in 64 so it kinda doesn't matter, Melee both him and Doc see a bunch of use for being a solid mid tier. I don't know shit about Brawl, and in Smash 4 he's popular because he is both good, and a very easy character for new coming players. I believe in both Brawl and Smash 4 Olimar is the least popular.
