I think in general environs have been getting more boring in games in general. Everyone is opting for urban and fictional to grab the gta / ac bucks without the need for the expenses of "accuracy", so you don't really get many interesting locations anymore, or historical ones. I've never played any Assassin's Creed games, but have a basic understanding of the lore. You're a descendent of a member of an order of assassins, plugged into some sort of machine that uses your genetic link to one of those assassins to allow you to relive their memories.
So how does that one with siblings work? How is one person reliving the memories of two different people? Wouldn't that require that they, or their descendents, had children together?

He seriously looks for common ground and tries to build cooperation with the templars, especially after they reveal they're not bothering with that gay apple of eden shit - he only cuts it off with them when it's revealed that they tried to manipulate him; when it's revealed washington was the one who ordered his village torched, he cuts contact with the man, but doesn't disavow the revolution as he truly believes in its cause; and while his hatred of charles lee got a bit overzealous, it was still justified as Lee was a vile, violent man who deliberately drew his tribe into the conflict, leading to the death of his elder.

All in all, he's actually a thoughtful, intelligent guy. That doesn't stop him from being extremely dull and uninteresting to play as, mind you, but he doesn't deserve the bad rap he gets

My question is; Why is the series not exploiting the ambiguous history of Ancient Egypt (or any other ancient civilization for that matter) and creating their own narratives, similar to the original Assassins Creed, where only secular portions of history, such as locales and famous names, were showcased, and the games story was allowed to evolve organically, as opposed to every other iteration of the series thus far sticking to the last 400 or so years and allowing the story and character development to take a major backseat to a bunch of incredibly useless historical detail?
