I actually haven't had any terrible experiences with /v/ recommended games. I liked LISA, crusader kings,Recettear, risk of rain, xcom, deus ex; they were all great. The plot, most of the charterers and world building is fantastic. No one's denying that.

But this is the buggiest game I've ever played to the point of being nearly unplayable, with many puzzles having odd abstract solutions that very rarely involve logic and the very few times you do receive a hint to these more nonsensical puzzles are from incredibly subtle pieces of dialogue which wouldn't be to bad, if it weren't for the fact that once you listen to a piece of dialogue you can never rehear it again.

Also while most of the characters are great, the one recurring one Glottis, is by and far the absolute most annoying character in any vidya I ever played. All he does is shout complete nonsense over and over in a game involving to concentrate and think. Glottis is the biggest piece of fucking shit ever, he makes Claptrap look like John Marston my god.

They made big claims to change everything into a great open world games, and I love to explore so I thought I'd like it. Botw was just a disappointment though. Puzzles we're easy and repetitive. The main story was too short. Little to no silly side quests. Ubishit towers instead of filling in the map yourself. No tools or items just some powers and a glider. Each dungeon has 3 bosses, not 2, and they vary their tactics across levels. Town Events also add more bosses and unique quests, the Darkest Dungeon itself has unique fights, and the DLC is coming soon.

Have you ever tried? I had a shitty computer that had a £60 graphics card and a CPU from 2007 or so and even I could run God Hand at a native resolution with a widescreen mod on at get 58-60fps.

I completed my Normal KMS, Hard and nearly completed a Hard KMS run on that baby. Hell sometimes if I was lucky I could play it at 2x res without any problems.

Sonic Colors was the biggest waste of 4 hours

I never got "tricked" or feel like I got "tricked" by anything. That said, cases where I found my experience with the game most jarringly opposite to the majority of what I've heard around here (e.g. games that people praised here but I found out to be absolute fucking trash):

It's neat to see a game that tries something different, it has a lot of fun ideas, but it's an absolute mess and it does not help that the settings and story are shit too.
