Superstar Saga's biggest problem is thus: Moving around the world is lame. You walk around, jumping, and you constantly get stopped by parts that require bro moves. Swapping to the move and doing it doesn't feel good or satisfying, it just feels like work, and you do it all the time. They should be able to just jump that high by default. Now yeah they sometimes split up, but I think the movement feeling good in the first place is leagues more important than little gimmicky split-up sections.

E.G Dark souls 2 gives you a decent amount of diverging paths, but the individual levels suck so much(with only a few exceptions) it doesn't pay off.
