The bearkiller is the first weapon that's a net improvement upon what you have at the start. The minigun, depezador, TRK & Damocles are all available by default, and the TRK is heavy and cumbersome in comparison and I suspect actually deals less damage. There's no other worthwhile investment besides general terms like "always have a research running".

Why does no one mention the "active reload" mechanic behind the medkit? If you use it below 20 charge you run the risk of it backfiring and killing you, but there's a reward system if you have good timing. Activating the medkit EXACTLY when the charge jumps from 9 to 10 will give you a 100% heal instead of whatever the medkit normally does and I'm pretty sure it prevents the backfire from happening. There still might be a chance of dying, but if that's the case then I've been extremely lucky.

To be fair leveling up in E.Y.E. takes a ridiculously long time. The side missions repeat themselves all the time, and it gets to a point where it's not very enjoyable to play. This is mostly due to the lack of metastreum variety, and the fact that fighting metastreums (asides from Deus Exes) isn't engaging, and feels off. They run at you, stop to hit you, repeat. Carnophages can move and attack, so they're a bit more interesting to fight. But then they run at you with that stupid anime run style pose. This is all limitations of the small team, but the facts are facts.

In Syndicate Black Ops, there are the same amount of demons as there are metastreums in E.Y.E. But in SBO they move erratically, attack fast, and are very satisfying to take down.

Can someone illuminate a filthy newjian and tell me if the other cycles are in any way different? I legitimately haven't encountered anything that would possibly help me reach anything other than restarting the cycle. I've deliberately kept myself in the dark regarding any "true ending".
