Black and White, because it was the biggest scam I ever fell for.

Rome Total War, it's a good game but ever since the move away from province-based movement I liked Total War less and thus played RTW surprisingly little given it was something I bought for full retail price.

Other than that that's basically it. I'm a cautious buyer. There are probably smaller regrets I don't even remember, but those two are the only ones that really stuck with me, and B&W is the only one where I'm ashamed.

Original MK8 was extremely overrated. My first clue should've been the types of people praising it and saying it justified the Wii U. In some ways ironic since those same people turned their back on the Wii U once the Switch concept was revealed. MK8 was a better kart racer than MKWii, sure, but it was a huge step down from even MK7. 200cc was fun to figure out, but that only lasted so long. The mechanics are a mess with item sets determined by distance from first as opposed to place. The stats working in tiers and having hidden effects is just so unintuitive - it has no place in a Mario Kart game. Zero-G bump to boost is god awful since more often than not you're losing speed doing it and is an instance of marketing straight up being misleading. It felt like ideas just being slapped onto the plate. Just comparing it to the previous console MKs it had neither the execution of Double Dash nor the strategic elements of Wii. 7 was easily more ambitious and 8 was clearly iterative and ended up a regression in a number of ways.

That one. I loved ME3's multiplayer and spent a couple of thousand hours playing it, so I bought MEA for that alone. Turns out they've completely fucked that too, even on a basic technical level. For example, the single player difficulty you have selected influences things like biotic combo damage and enemy rate of fire in the multiplayer, which is fucking hilarious. It's like none of them even have a basic understanding of how their own engine works, and it turns out that both single and multiplayer pull their stats from the same files, hence the campaign difficultly slider affecting multiplayer too.

It's fucking crazy how stuff like this got through their testing unnoticed.
