I'm still stuck on the end boss because I never upgraded my party and I reached the limit where you have to start murdering your own patapon to upgrade them.

Yep. That's how 3 ended, but what about 2 though? I haven't played it, and only the Pandora's Box was mentioned in 3. Was the patapons turning to stone the end for 2?

In the end for two, the Patapons, the Zigotons, and the Kamenpons were all working together to build a bridge or boat or something so the patapons could continue their journey to Earthend. It can be assumed they finished it, and the patapons found the box on their way to their destination.

Patapon 3 didnt deserve all that hate. Yeah it was the weakest of the 3 but it was still good.
