That depends... most of what one used to unlock on games is now DLC so it does make sense that Yuffie and Vincent, being optional on the original game where made DLC now... specially if SE follows suit with FF XV and give them story fragments of their own.

This will probably happen if it's there any true to the "each episode being a full game length" campaign.

Still i would rather it not happen. I played CC and i can tell you that while the gameplay is okay it kind of spit on the original characters. Sephiroth is specially fucked over by the rewrites.

They give him friends while the original Sephiroth states that he ALWAYS felt different, isolated and alone... which is pretty much the only reason he falls for it when Jenova convinces him he is a Cetra.

That said i think the alternative to make the games bigger would be tons of useless hunts and side missions that capitalize on the "Cloud is a mercenary, anything for money" thing.
It's gonna be one or the other and both options are terrible if you ask me.
