white console colour tends to clash with the screen which is usually a dark green rather than pure black when off. Also starts to look dirty much quicker and is too bright to use in sunlight or on particularly bright days outside.

Not so great when it turns yellow and all the scratches are visible.

If you don't take care of and clean white systems constantly they're at risk of yellowing so I prefer darker colors. I also just generally like dark colors but that's just another reason why
