I thought that they added the local multiplayer aspect to Switch so that they could sell the product easier to family and friends that don't own Switch.

You don't have to go out of your way to buy an extra controller when you bring it outside your room and play with your family and friends because you can just attach the joycons to the unit and pop it out for quick local multiplayer setup.

Should I just pick up BoTW on Wii U? I know the hype has died by now, but I'm still so fucking psyched to play this game.
