Learn to be more depressed over the fact you didn't get a knife than the fact your father is now R.I.P.

I play animal crossing when I'm anxious or depressed. The soothing music and animal friends really helps me hold it together
>>
>>376439598
Sorry for your loss, Anon. What happened to him?

Also ironically enough, back when my brother died, I did nothing but play Dark Souls 1 for days on end.
>>
>>376439598
play a persona title (3,4,5), they are basicly a normal spooky life sim, it will get your mind off it for a while
>>
>>376439598

Majora's Mask
>>
>>376439598
pop as much acid as you can and post your experience in a few days later here
>>
>>376439598
Pikmin 2
Saints Row 2
Mark of the Ninja

It's subjective though.

I feel so sorry for you. Less for OP, as death is part of life's cycle. But you.... jesus christ. There is a depression and sadness over a family death, but being upset about wasting your money to try and get a jpeg because all your favorite ecelebs have them... jesus.

Died of brain cancer. He was supposed to pass away earlier today but held on long enough for me to come back from work to be with him (left early when I found out he was passing but it was an hour drive). He passed away about five minutes after the family was together with him. Been a few hours and hospice came to take the body. I had to sit outside for a while to let it sink in.

Probably some story based game you can get lost in for a bit. RDR is my personal choice on this, but you might want something shorter like Tales from the Borderlands or, god help me, Undertale. I'm not sure what helps you best cope with depression, you might need to elaborate on what makes you happy.

Sorry about your loss, i understand how bad it is to lose a father.
I usually play simulator games like Sim City or Roller Coaster Tycoon when i'm sad, they're easy to get into and spend some time without thinking much.

I lost my dad because of cancer too, anon, I understand. Try either something simple and relaxing or hard, complex games to distract yourself.

A big RPG or JRPG might help, one full of those useless sidequests that make you feel busy, or maybe Animal Crossing or other Nintendo games.

Stay strong, you will feel like going crazy the first weeks, but then the brain will eventually accept what happened and it will be easier to work on the pain then.

Lung cancer took my father about 18 months back, I feel for you OP. My honest advice is to just avoid games for a bit, nothing you play is really going to help you understand the impact you just felt. My dad was a big rock n roll guy so I just listened to some of his favorite music to cope. Try to remember what your dad really enjoyed in his life, and connect with it however you can.
