what went wrong?
>>376437401
your abortion xd lol
The second when they decided pirates where more important than the consumers themselves, everything went wrong.
>>376437401
Wildlands, dishonored 2 and planet coaster cracks when?
Probably something like they release a new version, sell to publisher, contract out to crack said release. Claim to have a better version in the works.
>repeat
I hope it's that, cause what a bad ass way to make money.
>>376437401
>what went wrong?
The fact that not every publisher has fallen for their "ITS UNCRABCKABLE!!!111" scam.
Otherwise nothing, the denuvo devs are perfectly aware that their protection will inevitably be cracked, most of the plebs have been suckered into believing the hype and publishers declare that buying denuvo protection led to net profit then never publish a single hard number, not even an estimation.
>>376438891
When you are both the problem and the solution your ability to make money is only limited by how bad you can make the problem appear.
Destroying SSDs.
Why would anyone risk their hardware for copy protection?
>>376439714
Denuvo is literally the final boss
>>376437401
There are still tons of games that aren't cracked, including a few I'm waiting for. Denuvo won't die yet.
>>376439869
n-no proof!!!!!
>>376439869
My SSD is still going well after 4 years, and I play a lot of denuvo games
If you buy shit don't blame it on something else than yourself
>>376437401
Everything. Make games run like shit and people crack it after some days like every other defense system.
>>376439869
wow silly, denuvo already said denuvo is harmless
>>376437401
Attacking > Defending
nothing if you're not a poorfag
>>376437401
It makes pirates buttmad and they come up with excuses as to why its harmful to consumers when it actually isn't
>>376440815
This, a defense is always reactionary.
Denuvo limits modding pretty heavily which is another nail in that coffin.
>>376440815
Thats not even remotely true. The Defender always has an innate advantage.
>>376441096
>100k on DMR
>when it could be used on the actual game
Unless it's a publicity stunt, it's pretty harmful. Specially for indies.
>>376441397
mgsV, arkham knight, nier, doom, planet coaster all have plenty of mods
>>376441468
not in computer science.
>>376441469
wasn't there an indie game that released with denuvo and sold sub 2k copies at $10?
>>376439640
Except that's literally not what they say. Denuvo only promises to substantially delay cracking, not make it never happen. No one is retarded enough to think a game will never be cracked.
>>376437401
Absolutely nothing. Piratecucks got cucked out of playing the GOTY for almost a year now, the rest is irrelevant. Denuvo will only get better and better and the list of uncracked games will pile up.
>>376442237
From that angle, if people didn't play it because it's uncracked, was there any point in protecting it in the first place?
>>376442237
>>376437401
I told you about the "scene" bro
I warned you dog
What I don't really get is this idead that "Denuvo doesn't need to be uncrackable, just stop cracks for a few days for the initial sales to come in." But that's also the same without denuvo. Cracks usually take a few days with other copy protection schemes. How is denuvo any different in this regard?
>>376437401
>new cracking method only takes a day!
>prey still not cracked
smells like bullshit
>>376443049
I've read that Denuvo wants at least a month for the game to go uncracked. Doesn't always work (RE7 got cracked in 5 days or something) but it seems generally they get that.
>>376437401
>the cracks can be done in hours
>Prey not cracked
Filthy lying slavshits.
>>376443265
CPY has really weird choices when it comes to the games they crack. I wonder if their releases are by choice, or if they run into some roadblock while cracking some games but not others.
>>376443464
they crack games they like to play(weeb stuff) or games that have some kind of cotroversy around them(ea gloating that pirates are playing broken mass effect).
