They're clearly doing a service that benefits you if you want to read them, and it would be much easier to just read them yourself rather than have a fat bald man spend six minutes reading them for you. The channels you follow should depend on the games/genres/communities you like. These generalist channels just go with the trends or are blinded by nostalgia, neither circumstances resulting in a decent opinion. The exception being the occasional video every view months from a JonTron comedian, otherwise you're wasting your time watching "personalities" playing games poorly.

They were definitely apart of the problem but the whole show became a massive circlejerk about how impoverished they are and how noble a profession they have while they contribute nothing to their core audience.

One episode they claim a good cartoon artstyle is more respectable than realist art, and then the very next episode they spent the majority of the time complaining about modern art and said they don't get why people like van Gogh.

I still think a couple of them are funny but they all have a very high assessments of themselves and lack the foresight to see when they are contradicting themselves.

The best parts were when they were talking about porn and shit and I wish that wasn't the case but any real topic they covered at least one of them (typically the most vocal) sounded like a moron.
