Is there even a single Rythm game that is better than this?
I have seen a lot of meme game but rarely the fully customized package.

As long you're referring to 3.95, then yes.
StepMania5 a shit.
My friend is obsessed with the Miku Playstation games. To me, as an old school Stepmania and DDR fan, it's whack shit. I guess I just couldn't keep up with the genre, because it looks fucking retarded to me. I used to AAA plenty of songs on heavy, but this new stuff is all over the place.

I'm still on 3.something because the newer ones are an incompatible direct X mode with my designated DDR computer (old graphics card with S-Video out for a CRT)
I was thinking about getting the new versions and moving my DDR setup to my flatscreen. What's so bad about 5?

Basically this. Any stepmania post 3.95 is an abomination. Sound synchro fucking sucks and also multiplayer.

Themes > Usability
Nut then none of the themes ever made it out of beta either and all the SSC cunts who highjacked Stepmania for their theming bullshit left.
A few of them had high-profile tantrums over the fact that no one cared about anything post 3.95.

I can also attest to this, the sysreqs for the same damn game increased more than tenfold, Stepmania5 needs a reasonbly modern machine to play in sync, 3.9 plays on my old G3 iMac...
I miss my Stepmania days
Playing heavy and oni songs on a dance pad was fun

I guess because 3.95 was perfect?
Nothing left to improve.

Taiko is superior to all.
>>376427309
What is the best way to play this? Played at an arcade once and been in love ever since.
>>376427720
personally I just play it on PSP. You could hack a wii and import the taiko controller, but i heard it's not that good for advanced players.
>>376427964
we can only hope that the Switch version is good
>>376427309
Can't wait for taiko on the switch. Only used stepmania for finger mashing stepcharts and C650 speed.
>>376427964
I wanted to play with the drum controller. Looks like I'm shit out of luck unless I get rich overnight and import the arcade cabinet.

I think Bamco doesn't sell them either, only rent. You'd have to go second hand and hope it won't break down in a week.
>>376428487
Welp. I can always learn the real thing, I guess.
If you tolerate keysounded arcade music games that run on windows, you don't have good rhythm.

>buttmad casual crying IIDX is too hard
