This is why I hate how much I love this game. I took down a Lynel just by hitting it with whatever weapon I had and healing after it shat on me. It's too fucking easy and really siphons away from the fun of "returning to an enemy you were intimidated by later with more power". With every other part of the game I think back to how I was the last time I visited X area but with one of the most important parts of open world gameplay it falls flat.

This seems improbable

With the amount of damage that Lynels typically do, you would be going through a whole meal every couple of hits
You can only carry maybe 40 of them, and for most players, a lot of that is going to be taken up by context-sensitive powerups like cold or heat resistance
So to kill a Lynel that way, you would have to spend a decent amount of time just filling your inventory with health-refilling meals beforehand, and at that point just fighting the Lynel properly and trying not to get hit is a far more efficient use of your time

Not even mentioning that you're depriving yourself of any enjoyment by fighting that way, dodging and parrying feels so fucking good in this game that I can't fathom why anyone would choose not to do it
