There needs to be a balance the problem is with video games now is that they simply take too much time and money to make at a AAA level. If they took their time it might take until as long as 2020 sure it would be a full game but it would seem lackluster compared to are rapidly growing tech and graphics. Also think about about the core demographic. The once young fans of KH grew from teens that ate up KH2 they are now young adults. A few more years and they may not be in a position to play vidya as often. Alot of them may have started a family or are finishing college already. You also have to consider that they showed the trailer for kingdom hearts 3 way too early in an attempt to raise the sales of the hd remakes. They can't wait much longer or the game will be forgotten by most who are not core fans.

Consider all these things and as head of marketing what would you suggest to the project director?

Not to mention that they probably thought of even more factors than I have. It's a sound business choice the actual game devs need to find a way to manage time more effectively for the game they see in their heads to be fully realized and thats just the truth of the matter

I wouldn't take 0.2 as the biggest indicator of gameplay, Nomura stated long before it released that it was always going to be a hybrid of 2 and BbS gameplay and not exactly what 3 will be. From the short gameplay trailer we saw it definitely resembles 2 more than 0.2/BbS

No, in XVs or MGSVs case you basicly knew and could tell that shit was cut. But if KH3 comes out and a world is missing that we never knew would even be in it and will never know about it then it's different. Other KH games also had cut content/ leftovers in the files all over the place

Every game is going to have cut content, especially large triple A titles. There simply isn't enough time to fit absolutely everything they want possible into the timeframe.

That said, there will probably be a Final Mix.

That's not on Square's part, Nomura has flat out said he can't show off what he wants because Disney has to control which worlds, summons and characters are shown.

Notice how we've only gotten a lot of footage of the heartless (series OC), young Eraqus and Xehanort (OC, Sora (OC) and glimpses of some of the worlds?

Who the fuck knows. Until there's someone managed to unlock the "untouched worlds" in the game, there's simply no way knowing. XV is simply the worst ever effort at hiding those said cut contents because they're too open with the public. Hell, we all know someday down the line a final mix would sprung up. This is not something new, and it was and still is not ok. I don't support it, but cut contents are quite common in game dev, especially in big budget titles. It depends on how good the devs are at hiding it due to deadlines.

So just like most KH games and we won't even know if shit is cut if we don't know wha was there in the first place. I's so easy to tell with MGSV or XV because stuff we saw was literally taken out
