Basically in Bl1 everything felt tighter. Hip-fire accuracy was (on average) much higher, guns felt a lot more under your control instead of spraying bullets all over the place with no way to control recoil.

Also guns actually felt like they weighed something in Bl1. I can't put my finger on it, but Bl2 just feels like you are pretending to hold a gun, like your character is practicing with a foam replica. In Bl1 a machine gun felt fucking meaty, like it would cause your entire upper body to vibrate.

I think it mostly comes down to visual and sound design. Everything in Bl1 looks like it fits the universe, each manufactorer in Bl2 looks like it comes from a different game/centuary, plus the sound design is almost universally worse. This combines with shitty accuracy to make unsatifying guns, if something sounds like a butt-clenched fart but has the reticule bloom of a rocket launcher fired backwards your gun isn't going to feel powerful. Just compare a revolver from the two games.

Terrible scaling the "boringification" of statistical variety and gimmicks only compound these issues. Bl2 a shit.

bl2 is either melee kreig/zero or unkempt harold to carry you through the game

AR's were neutered for no reason in Bl2

Everything else had a 2.0x (or higher) critical Modifer, Assualt Rifles had a 1.6x critical Modifer. Unless you wanted splash damage from a Torgue Spiniguns (and admitadly they were great) there was never any reason to use an basic Assualt Rifle over a basic SMG. Uniques were exceptions because the special effects.

All of them. I used a cheat engine script to raise the legendary drop chance up from a measly 0.001, making looting not pointless. Feels good to play the game with actually fun and diverse weapons

I'd kill for a remastered Bl1 that included some bug fixes (I want the correct names on my Draco, Plauge and Executioner goddamnit), put Pearescants in the loot pool of badass enemies in the main game and reworked some of the useless skills.

Plus allow for infinite playthroughs after beating pt2 where everything is your level. And include a difficulty slider (basically add 1-3 extra fake-players to scale up enemy health and also droprates), a fully geared character becomes too easy in Bl1.
