Is it worth savescumming to get a Durability Up Hylian Shield?

From what I've heard, the Hylian shield has a fuckton of durability. It would take a couple of guardian lasers till it gets close to breaking. Even if it break, you can still get it again, not in the same place though

Durability on shields is useless. It's still gonna break if you miss parrying a laser so may as well just carry pot lids.

No. After finishing building Tarrey Town, the son of the research lap couple (the place where you make ancient weapons and armor), will be found ok the 2nd floor balcony of one of the houses. You know it's him when you see a blonde man with Sheikah villager cloths.

He'll resell you armored pieces that you found of on your quest that you might have been stupid to sell off. More importantly he'll sell you replacement Hylian shields.

Being able to use a wide variety of equipment and armor is what I loved about BoTW, but when Nintendo FINALLY did it, they make the Gerudo/Sheikah/Rito/Zora weapons so fragile and rare (can only get new ones at fixed locations after every blood moon).

Anybody wish that the Culture weapons from each race could keep up with the Royal, Guardian, and Lynel weapons? I want to roleplay with just those equipment.

desu simply referencing it wouldn't be so bad if other shields in the series also got referenced. The thing that really goes overboard is making the Hylian Shield the absolute toppest tier best shield in 4 games now, when it was just the mid-tier shit shield in Ocarina of Time before you got the Mirror Shield which made sense cause the Mirror Shield was supposed to be the best shield in these games.

Now they don't even give a shit about mirror shields or reflecting mechanics anymore and suddenly a mid-tier shit shield from a one-off game from 1998 is supposed to be considered the godmode shield. It hurts even more for BotW since you can parry and reflect lasers, but you can do it with absolutely anything including wooden potlids.

Nintendo is fuckin garbage, man. Sad shell of what they used to be 15 years ago.

Yeah, I was thinking that I'd be using race-specific weapons all the time, but that turned out to just be a pain in the ass. You get showered with much better Royal weapons all the time, so eventually you just stop bothering. The spears are particularly hopeless to keep a regular stock of.

I really like how the weapons reflect the different races' fighting styles. Like how Rito rely a lot on archery, so they have three levels of bow. I sorta wish there was a mode that locked you into only using those race-specific weapons for an entire game, while making them unbreakable.
