Coincidentally, I'm writing a script for a video about the five megaten games that deserve a remake and I'm covering logic reasons like "it would sell well" or "it'll widen up the styles of games offered up". Obviously my number 1 pick is Jack Bros. Also known as the best game noone played, whereas games like smt 1, persona 2 or last bible can be debated on whether or not it's a great game. I genuinely think Jack Bros has mass appeal while still being a great game. My most played megaten game in fact.

after analyzing the trailer I just noticed, those are the persona 5 models for all the demons. Especially jack frost since that animation was specifically made for persona 5. While everyone else uses their standard nocturne animation.
So it seems the assets made for persona 5 will be the blue prints for future games in the smt franchise as well.

Honestly, if Atlus is going to remake anything, Shin Megami Tensei is the only game that comes to mind.
After all, it started it all and the only version north americans can play in english is the ios version. Which sucks by the way. The game is MEGA archaic as well.

I used to think the Vita was the perfect platform for SMT ports since persona 4 golden and the psp/ps1 classics made it very convinient to get into persona (plus 3ds lower res maestro things ugly). Portability plus rpgs always works out
But now with the switch... Wouldn't be too bad to get nocturne, the raidou games and the DS games would it? As ports, rather than remakes
