Have you never ever played a persona game before? You literally have a limited amount of time to do things in the game. Basically everybody I know skipped haru, ohya etc. during their first playthrough because there are more interesting slinks to go for instead.

It's not about “speedrunning”, the game literally prevents you from doing all the side stories in one playthrough.

It's one of the few that actually caught me by surprise with how it resolved itself. The guy who's built up to be some big antagonist to Haru turns out to be a genuinely nice dude who just misunderstood what she wanted out of life. The biggest obstacle in her path is her own insecurities that she overcomes through the SL.

I really like that they didn't do that. All the way through her confidant story, Haru never really dwelled on the past and instead always tried to look ahead. Sugimura was a non-issue by the end of it so there was no need for a confrontation and Haru isn't the kind of person who needs to get in the last word because of some silly sense of pride or rub her victory in anybody's face. At least for me, a scene like that would have cheapened her character.
