It was my favorite because it came out right as I was going from middle school to high school. It was a the pinnacle of free time to devote to video games, so I just got deep into it. Online role plays, fan fiction, it was my life for about a year.

It's kinda easy to make her look bad when you purposefully only list the scenes that make her look bad. She and Squall have plenty of bonding during the story and the only really stupid "Squall has to save Rinoa" part was the one where Zell refused to save her during the Gardens battle because he thought only Squall could. Also, it was Ultimecia that freed Adel (the lunar cry would have happened regardless, it was caused by Seifer gaining control of Lunatic Pandora).

Maybe you're too much of a fucking idiot to understand whats going on, or you didn't play the game you're defending. In FF8 people are either grinding enemies, the junction system, or the card system. The only redeeming factor is how broken the already piss-easy battle system is, and that's all people talk about besides how poorly told the story is. Also even when you turn encounters off there are still scripted battles all over the place, and you don't even have immediate access to turning the encounters off.
At least a game like pokemon confines them to grass. Try and find me a turnbased game where there's actual stimulating gameplay instead of scrolling through menus or just walking from point a to point b.

I remember that they mention the reason they never used it was because its identify friend foe system wasn't working. And it comes off as stupid because it's pilot operated. You think that if they could get around that then Sin should have never been the threat that it was. Kind of makes FFX and the entire 1000 year history of Spira look pointless if the Fayth still being able to summon didn't already do that.
