New expansion should be coming out soon, anyone else starting a new build?
Any good builds? I've had some firestrike commando and it was terrible.

The area design/aesthetics and boring skilltrees killed it for me. Any expected changes to that?
Still playing D2 HC ladder, PoE, and Titan Quest. Grim Dawn, on the other hand, just felt really sleep-inducing. Kudos to the devs, though, they went through some tough shit iirc and made great improvements to the engine.
any date on the expansion?

Currently doing a Shaman/Soldier with Primal Strike and Blitz, it's pretty fun in crucible, you could do a saboteur if you want high DPS >>376403770
No word on it yet, might be announced May 15th since that's the next dev update

i'm going to redo my lich build when the expansion comes out
have necromancer instead of occultist
I'm waiting for the xpac. When i know an expansion pack will be released for a game it just doesn't feel right playing it in its unfinished state.
Honestly just picked it up.Have a pyromancer at level 15 but I'm trying to figure out if there's a better option for a necromancer-esque character.
Honestly, I picked up D3, PoE, and GD all in the past week. Can't tell which I like best.

Necromancer is going to be one of the xpac's masteries, along with a gunmage, so you're better off waiting until then.

So if I didn't like Titan Quest, I probably won't like Grim Dawn? I just despise classical mythology so TQ's setting really bored me. I was excited for Grim Dawn though because I like Lovecraft
I bought Grim Dawn on the recent Steam sale but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. I love Titan Quest though and I heard Grim Dawn is considered to be its spiritual successor. Is there anything I should know about Grim Dawn that sets it apart from Titan Quest, besides the "darker" atmosphere?

I haven't played it yet either but I know there is a "devotion" skill tree in addition to the regular skill tree. Seems like pointless overcomplication to me

there another layer of min-maxing in the form of devotions
you get extra skills and bonuses with 50 points to spend

It brings more character customization and fits in very well imo.
