They're done. And the last time I checked it worked perfectly fine. Don't know about D2 though.

I remember playing this, but I got bored somewhere between the 100s of item levels I had to traverse to upgrade my shitty items and all the judges that LOATHED me and were fuck hard to kill.

Plus the whole game shipping the angel was suckish. Laharl could have just went for a harem end.

Is there any way to speed text up? I hate having to wait for the text to finish scrolling when they've finished half their sentence by the time the text box fully opens up, also, is the game supposed to feel super slow? PC version by the way

I think if you press X or O, or it's PC equivalent, it auto displays the text.
And D1 is pretty clunky by todays standards, it aged really badly. They fix literally every one of D1's issues in Disgaea 2 so give that a shot if D1 becomes to cumbersome.
