I tried it out but the laning was so damn boring for me, also I don't like moving with the mouse so I went back to Smite. It's good anyway because I've already spent money on and am pretty good at smite, I think lol would take even more time to git gud at and I've put nearly 2000 hours into Smite

I follow NALCS religiously, I've been to World's the past 2 years, I try to get to Split Finals, but the travel is a bit much for me and the people I go with.

I know the game inside and out, and have gotten to Plat 4 on knowledge alone, as my mechanics are absolute garbage. But I can list so much raw information about the game it's almost pathetic. Luckily there's this whole amazing community full of attractive people so I fit right in even though I'm incredibly average looking.

Game literally changed my life, dunno if it's for the better. I met my current GF last year during Summer Split at a bar that airs the LCS games. She's as into it as I am. We treat League like most Americans treat football.

It has the same issues all ASSFAGGOTS have, the information barrier at first is massive, but it also has the retarded grind for levels and champions.
They push major changes quite frequently, making it so that if you don't follow the changes for a few months you fall behind and don't know anything anymore, and if you have a longer break you basically have to re-learn everything because every season is so different from the others, wich is also a pain in the ass.
It does keep the game somewhat fresh for active players, but even for them the changes can backfire and feel terrible.
Don't play these games if you don't have a active group of +5 players, because randoms are all fucking retarded and if you don't have enough friends you end up sitting 3x longer in a lobby with 3-4 people and waiting hours for the last one to join.

It's in a good state, it really started to decline after season 3 however after 4 years of trial and error, it seems as though riot has gotten it's act together. Used to be really fun until the end of Season 1. GP's huge crits, global TPs, Karthus actually being good, Evelynn and Shaco being truly stealthy assassins etc etc

It slowly became a streamlined, boring e-sport afterwards, my and my friends dropped it eventually. But I still have many sweet memories from these days.

It also got me into Dota2, which isn't as restricted as LoL and allows wacky stuff to happen

The game had a recent update where they were trying to make tanks more viable and fun to play, but they just nerfed them again. Armor nerf and now the health nerf on most tank items means that most bruisers are gutted and tanks are no longer as tanky with 0 benefits given to them as a compromise, just a straight up nerf.

Yeah it doubles your health by if you have stone heart pact, if not it gives you 65% increase for 4 seconds while reducing your damage by an ass load during the duration. Clearly meant for tanks and even more clearly meant for supports and not top laners or engage tanks like the rework was supposed to be buffing.

Sunfire cape went from best top lane item to worst top lane item, hardly has better wave clear and doesn't even tickle most top laners anymore, has become a defunct item only meant for tank junglers going cinderhulk enchant.

Tanks are essentially pawned off to the support role only now, a role that doesn't make that much money so a super tank status is very hard to achieve now unlike when tanks were played in a solo lane and got solo experience and gold.

So tanks don't exist now and we're just gonna go back to the days of fiora and jax top laners spamming the chat with "1v1 me noob" and a screaming virgin Yasuo main mid begging for ganks and never warding.

No thank you, tanks may not have been fun to watch but they balanced the game far more than this absolute cancerous mess of damage dealers and no actual tank because as we've established, a support should not have the tank stats to deal with 4 dps sources whilst in a duo lane.

I mained Vi this year due to her strong solo que win rate. I really like her, she's fairly simple and has a lot of burst.

She got her AS buffed and her E was given 2 charges on level up and everything got out of hand so they just gutted her AS.

Before her base AS was better than she is now currently with 3 AS quints and 9 AS marks. The nerf hit her pretty hard I must say.

I played from the beta till Yorick was just released (the old one not the rework) and it was alright with friends but cancer otherwise.

Over the past 2 months I have been getting back into the game since my little bro is busting my balls to play with him and his friends and it surprised me how very streamlined everything is compared to back then. You got your support items and your jungle items and every character has 1 optimal build, always pick build these 3 items first and then you have some flex space etc. It's still alright and polished as hell compared to earlier but it's still pretty much the same, never solo q.

It is better than DoTa and HoTS as an esport.
But its a lot less interesting than them, and just generally worse. Play DoTA if you want a serious game that relies on mechanical skill and team mechanics, play HoTS if you want a less serious experience and just want to play the short game every once and a while.

Used to be fun when I still played. Riot's not the best company for the game though. I like how laning feels active because you can spam skills all the time unlike in DotA2, but skills are comaratively very weak. Also, I didn't notice how same-y all champions are until I played HotS, I'm really liking the different mechanics and maps.

DotA2 could've been good with cool premises like breaking terrain, but it will always feel like shit because the controls feel like shit, oh well.

It has this fascinating ability to turn people who are great when playing literally any other game into raging thundercunts. I played vidya with this one guy for years and years across all kinds of different games and he was chill as anything about all of them, then one day he invited me to play League and the amount of salt pouring out of him with every minor mistake the rest of the team made was unbelievable.

I had some fun with the golden birdman who summoned soldiers (Azir, I think) but the gameplay was frustrating and matches dragged on for way, way too long considering 90% of the time is spent trying to last hit minions over and over and over again. Quit after about a dozen matches or so then never went back.

I played the game for years, ever since the first season.

I really enjoyed it and did quite well, but over time I just lost the willpower to deal with the aggressive community and the necessary time required to keep up with current meta trends.

Additionally, I just got older and my priorities changed. One thing to be a fresh out of college kid spending a few hours daily improving your creep score, to being in a management position with longer hours and owning a home which requires care maintenance.

I still obviously find time to play vidya, but setting aside 45+ minutes to engage in a game where a single player can snowball a team to defeat just isn't fun. Nor is it fair to ditch teammates in the middle of a match because you're bored, so in the end I just retired..

Game never really got any worse, but it never got better either, I eventually quit the ASSFAGGOTS scene for a while when I realized that every game followed the same old shitty DotA formula, barely changing it for their own game.

The recent Overwatch cross promotion in HotS has turned me back on to the genre and I have to say that HotS is actually a fun game.

I enjoy watching the pro scene for the past 4.5 years. I'm sure i'll get shit on for it but idc, it's fun to analyse and observe. also it can be pretty intense and competitive at times too

Shockingly enough, other people can have different opinions on things. I personally think damage characters are incredibly boring/one dimensional

Played since the beta, which was the golden time for the game.
It started getting worse and worse each season and at this point I can't play it without physically feeling nauseous.
Shame I didn't stop playing it earlier, I've played it probably for like +2500 hours

It's shitty forced meta, shitty inbred company running it, incredibly repetitive gameplay, incredibly shitty/underage community and bland/stolen character designs just kill it for me.
No such game exists that infuriates me as much as this heap of shit.

The only 3 good thing to ever come to the game were Lee Sin release, Jhin release and Sion rework. Everything else right now is a fucking mess.

It's pretty average, but Warwick post-rework is fun as fuck

Running down the jungle raping squishies is good fun

DotA has both games beat on depth, but no one should think HotS is more shallow than LoL with its fucking static lane set ups and homogenization based balance.

There are so many more options you have to make and depth in composition and counter-picking in HotS, the amount of stuff that happens in the competitive scene is great when you actually know how the fuck the game works. LoL tournaments are just silver league play done with more consistency, and they have been since season 2.

It really went to shit in season 4 to 6. Riot suprisingly turned it around from its pitfall into even more shittyness but I'm wary especially since I'm mixed on how good this last update is

Not to mention that the runes/masteries system makes you much less adaptable to the flow of the game
The amount of unique effects/actives on items in dooter and the fact that you pick your talents on the fly in hots lets you adapt and play around your enemies builds/heroes more effectively
