Ryuji shouting Phantom Thieves isn't even a big deal since it was during their climb to popularity and if you search around their are a couple students claiming to be Phantom Thieves. The part were Ryuji shines is pretty much when they decline in popularity and stopped being a dumbass since they figure out that at first they were doing it for recognition.

Morgana was already feeling shit tier when Makoto joined the team and more so when Futaba joined the team. Morgana couldn't handle the light jabs that Ryuji was giving him and ran out like a baby.

I kinda don't see what you described in the game. It's more like his mother blames herself for everything regarding Ryuji, and Ryuji, being a idiotic but good kid to her, always see himself as a part of the problem.
