Well, fucking duh. If Marth and Roy never made it into Melee, no Fire Emblem game would ever have seen a western release. Hell, some Fire Emblem games might not have even been made without the western market to prop up the budget. And you can forget about more Fire Emblem characters making it into future Smash games (except perhaps as Assist Trophies like Takamaru, or as regular trophies like some other Japan-exclusive series).

Well, different scenario, MOTHER 3 was a sketchy game to localize back then (even today) so I guess I'd rather play the fan translation that have it butchered by "Nitendo "Get rid of boob slider and extra content and put as much memes as possible" of America".

Well to be fair, Roy was a clone in Melee. And he's basically a slight variance of Marth in his own game anyways. And Lucina's entire popularity at first was based on her trying to pass herself as literally Marth. Not to say that should be allowed,but those are the reasons for them at least. Lucina oughta be kicked out by the next game though if they don't give her a more unique moveset.
