In Dark souls when you finish the game you can still play as much as you want before you can choose when you want to start all over in New game + (harder)

In Bloodborne when you beat the final boss you are immediately in New game + and even if you carry a lot of things you'll need to beat 3 or 4 bosses before accessing the DLC again and since the DLC is already challenging, it's way harder in NG+. So be sure to beat the DLC when you think you are close to the end of the game (it's obvious of course)

Also, if you've already played Dark Souls 3, then you've played a superior version of Bloodbourne anyway.

I don't like the fact that the only bosses that gave me trouble were Gascoigne and Amelia, I feel a better difficulty progression with Dark Souls. I'm not into grinding, so I like to naturally be challenged by the game.

Did you play the dlc? I found the main game the only hard bosses were martyr and gherman, and I guess amygdala and rom in the chalices if that counts. The dlc steps up the difficulty a bit and the bosses are all great except for the living failures

The Souls games are my favorite game series and I'm not afraid to say that, it is overwhelming to start getting into the lore and its implications. Some haters will be furious about these comments but Miyazaki is borderline genius or some kind of madman. He left his comfy job to make games and within ten years of doing it is now president of a company for doing so. I only say this because I believe something you produce is only as good as your love for the medium you are working in.

Bloodborne is the pinnacle of these, if only because it has a self contained universe in a single game, it innovates on the Dark Souls/Demon's Souls formula while feeling new, and as for the lore it is able to take all preconceived notions of the hero's journey and turn them on its head while being coherent.

People that haven't played the game will complain about 24fps, or how the speed and flow breaks the gameplay mechanics that DS established. But that hasn't hindered my enjoyment and great praises of the game itself.

On the topic of DLC, it adds more heft to the game and for that it is a welcomed addition, you will probably find yourself picking it up somewhere down the line, but I would challenge you to play the game as it was intended all the way through first before engaging the DLC on another play through.

I gave it a try with Bloodborne because it was only 20 euro but it's just completely unplayable for me. Same shit happened with GR2, which surprised me because GR1 was 60 fps and perfectly playable. That one I did not see coming, and it was totally my fault for lack of researching it.
