Naw, it's just a silicone grip made by dreamGEAR. Probably the highest quality silicone grip for the Vita, period. Two different models exist, one for the 1000, one for the 2000. If you can read japanese yes I think the Evo is worth it, a lot of people complain about the combat additions, worse art and fucked remix OST but the better graphics, fully voiced story etc are great. Otherwise PSP is honestly fine but PC has update translation and PS3 ripped graphics.

I got a second Vita for Henkaku recently and I noticed a difference between the screens. One tends to saturate red, the other tends to saturate with green. Is it normal? Is one of my Vitas dying?

I'm actually a little worried about the state of my Vita. I haven't played it in months now and it's been sitting in a cupboard with a dead battery for the majority of that time and it was no spring chicken to begin with since it was an original OLED screen Vita.

Remote Play is the only thing that attracts me to the Vita. It's sounds amazing, but I still just can't justify it.

I love the Vita. It's probably the nicest 'feeling' handheld I've ever used, beautiful weight and screen and the buttons are so excellent.

I've had the AT&T OG vita, the one that can use 3G, since the week it came out and I haven't used it much. Just spend the last years lamenting it and wishing it was more popular.

Just started playing Steins;Gate (haven't watched the anime) and I'm totally enthralled. Any more recommended VNs? Really love a good story and the vita is ultimate comfy to laydown and play at night.

I've owned both, some things I've noticed.

-They were dust collectors
-OLED is a lot better, deep blacks, vivid colors
-OLED has mura effect, lots of black blotches
-LCD blacks are grey, whites have a yellowish tint, and poor viewing angles (which isn't too bad since you're looking straight at it)
-Slim is more comfortable, thinner, lighter, bigger grip on the back
-Slim has a bit better battery life, but it's not really an issue if you're by a charger
-Slim has micro USB
-Remote play is okay, but the lack of extra buttons hinders the enjoyment
-There's a grip with shoulder buttons which get mapped to the back touchpad, but not every game is mapped the same
-The slight input delay makes fighting games not really worthwhile

I certainly wouldn't buy it just for remote play. And unless you can find one on 3.60 firmware, I don't really think the system itself is worth it. I never use mine. I think the OLED is prettier to look at, but it cramped my hands up. Slim isn't as pretty but didn't hurt my hands.

Caligula has a good story, OST, and art. The battle system is hit-or-miss though so look at gameplay videos. I've seen ratings going from 6/10 to 8/10 regularly, all of which speak of the battle system and shallow side-characters.

When you start a fight, you input a skill and have the option to see how it MIGHT play out in a preview. You can chain up to three skills this way, each of which previewing the best possible scenario should you use these skills along with a percentage of that preview actually happening without a hitch. You can have up to four characters in a party, and each character has their own set of actions that can be taken simultaneously along with their own previews.

So it's like a turn-based game but you can do DMC-level CUHRAZY combos. Some like it because of how flashy you can do things while others dislike it because it is a bit complicated too complicated for something that isn't even necessary (you can spam the same three skills and win but who wants to do that?)

Also, the entire game is based around running from/facing and overcoming traumas (hence the Vocaloid creating the digital utopia for humans because of all the songs she sang about them)

Took a break when I got my switch but I beat Zelda, has been heroes, and did enough in Mario kart and I'm back in the Vita groove

So each team mate will input a chain of moves to do simultaneously on an enemy; each skill has its own hitbox which can just straight-up miss on top of having accuracy be a thing if they fall out of range at any moment.

A regular battle would look something like:

P1: Charge enemy and knock up in air - > Wait until enemy falls onto the ground - > Shoot enemy on ground
P2: Wait until enemy is in air and shoot at enemy - > Continue shooting at enemy in air - > Shoot at enemy on ground
P3: Break enemy guard - > Shoot at enemy in air - > Wait until enemy lands on ground and shoot at enemy
P4: Boost attk of party members -> Wait until enemy is on ground and shoot at enemy -> Knock enemy away

Each skill can freely have a delay controlled by you and there are skills that activate under certain circumstances (wait for enemy to be on ground/air) and others that are defensive in case something goes wrong. This is a pretty gross simplification but it's pretty much what you should expect of the battle system.

Should the enemy not be dead for whatever reason, you will have to wait until your action gauge fills back up before you can take an action. During that time the enemy can roam and attack with their own skills should their gauges be full too.

But each type of skill has a weakness so you should always capitalize on it as it'd be the only way to stop an enemy from charging an attack.

The "preview" you get becomes increasingly inaccurate as you level up so don't rely on it too much. The game even explains that the preview is "an optimal world" but the entire theme is based around facing the reality of the world not being perfect so yeah.

But really, the gameplay is hit or miss. You either love it or hate it from what I've seen. I played the first dungeon so far and I like it, but I recommend just avoiding the enemies most of the time as you get plenty of bonus EXP should you kill an enemy on the first turn. Plus it adds up overtime if you fight everyone.
It took people ~2 hours to do the first dungeon but it took me ~7 instead
