I think the androids are just keeping the lie up until the machine shits are wiped out and they can get Earth back. They seem more capable of dealing with existential crises than the machines, but it would still leave them fractious and demoralised which is a death sentence when engaged in total war.

Music isn't my taste and feels generic. Story didn't hit me and too many anime almost cringe moments. But the worst of all is the combat. It doesn't matter what combos you are using all what you need is to spam 1 button to win and dodge if an enemy attacks. Basicly 2 buttons. You can shoot your lazer if you want to quicken up some things.

Honestly this game is for weebs who have no sense for gameplay. And I liked Bayonetta for example.
