House taxes are still high because a bigger city is within an hour. Don't produce a lot of garbage so often times just save up some and drop it off at the dump rather than get tags. It's some of this but honestly, they are one of the worst parts of Canada and if there's a large population of them anywhere people will eventually come to despise them.
