How much damage I should be giving as a monk? I'm around i245 and my damage in Baelsar's Wall
was like 1500. That seems very low I don't have B4B but I don't think missing 10% damage every minute or so for a 4 minute fight would make a huge difference. I do my opener and follow the priority guide and my damage seems to be everywhere.

DRG main here. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Lancer is slow as fuck until you get about level 50+. The combat will feel incomplete until then. The end game level 60 rotation is my favorite of all the classes though.

If you really want to play DRG then push through. Just know that your skills won't feel shitty and incomplete forever.

Overpower is 600 enmity per GCD, Heavy Swing > Skull Sunder is 850 enmity every 2 GCDs. At 18, using Maim is an enmity loss so only use it if you're already secure.

The problem with low level tanking is that low level tanks don't know what the enmity modifiers are, not that you're outgeared.

First month sub is up in 3 days and holy shit am I bored. I wanted to get into the gathering/crafting aspect and whole gathering wasn't bad, aside from the clusterfuck that is fishing, crafting is just a fucking pain in the ass to do even with leves. Can't even do anything with DPS classes that isn't potd because of the 15-20m queues on everything and while I like AST I don't like having to dps because it doesn't feel like I'm contributing much even though I know I am yet you have to because the downtime is long usually. I don't understand how you're supposed to farm savage content without a static. The groups are full of retards, whiners or autists. I mean requesting a fucking 30 second countdown for Faust Z in a9s is just fucking retarded, DF groups rush this loser and burn him down no problem.
It's no wonder most people aren't even interested in doing this hit. Every fucking party just disbands over some petty shit, people throw tantrums all the time and nothing fucking gets done. Then I can't play this game anymore. It took me a fucking week on Sophia ex to get 10 totems for the sword because I wanted the glamour. Just started savage and my first clear was in the first DF group I entered. Then I cleared it 2 more times in PF, entered about 20 more parties which just disbanded over bullshit in the first 5 minutes. I love how people gloss over Xenos guide and then now expect literally everybody to be cutting edge all the time for everything.

To maximize tank DPS you need to be coordinating threat cooldowns with your dedicated DPSers as well as efficiently cycling your own cooldowns to mitigate incoming damage. Telling new guy to drop tank stance and do DPS is pointless because he's going to lose threat and/or die, or someone else is going to die.

Unless you're in a premade it isnt worth the hassle.

Maybe if yoshi didnt make it so beneficial to DPS then you'd have more tanks staying in tank stance since it wouldn't be worth it to tank in DPS stance otherwise. But at the same time, you have Yoshi giving tanks damage buffs like FoF, Berserk and skills like C&S, Fell Cleave.

Maybe if SB was actually revamping the system to make tank mitigation function more like inner beast or centered around your rotation, then you'd see less DPS stance tanking. Tank cooldowns in this game are practically excuses to avoid tank stance, especially on PLD.
