If you can accept SR what about blur? Its just arcade racing with powerups for drifting boosts and weapons. Same as SR minus the stuntsc

No gear shifting. The stats are balanced between each other rather than there being straight upgrades. Races are balanced out through the use of weapons rather than a catch-up mechanic. More emphasis on the characters driving the cars than the cars themselves. Primary means of gaining speed is through skillful driving to gain boost. Usually the inclusion of mini-game modes, like battle modes, in addition to race modes. More of a focus on split-screen multiplayer.
