Dark Souls 1 is still the best one imho. The variety in environments, the mystique, the story, the balance between all kinds of builds(for PvE, at least), the bosses etc had a greater impact on me than any other game in this series.

I have played them all but blood borne
Demon souls is great and doesnt overstay its welcome but the swamp was pretty annoying.
Darksouls feels like a better demon souls with more shit and shortcuts.
DS2 is pretty weird honestly I played it on pc and I couldnt get the dodge times right and every enemy had this godawful tracking bullshit. DS3 is more of the same bullshit from DS2 but Im thinking the 60fps has something to do with it.

How do you defend the second half of the game op? I love the first half but man is the game unfinished

Dark Souls > Dark Souls 2 > Dark souls 3
I haven't played the rest, I'm not fiscally irresponsible enough to spend hundreds of dollars on a thing that plays 2 games (actually are ps4s even backwards compatible with ps3 games?)

My favorite is Dark Souls 2 SotFS but I've only played DeS, DaS, and DaS2 so I can't judge the most recent entries.
