I kind of hate to admit it anon, but despite the shitpost you're right in a way. I enjoyed the first game since I'm kind of a sucker for zombies and the opening scene really suckered me in, but its really just a mellow drama. Not necessarily a bad one, but still, its characters in a big situation facing smaller issues that don't really matter for relatable dramatic effect. Some of it was good and interesting, but overall it was not terribly original. It almost went some really nice places at points, but either shied away or failed to execute.
I'm likely not gonna play the second one, mostly because I have no interest in buying a PS4, but it does kind of bother me and make me nervous that this one might be more politically fueled. I liked the first game and it'd be a shame to see.

I've put 500+ hours in TLOU, it's my favorite game of all time and I studied it a lot. This is not a weeb game so the romance will not be there or it will be there but in very VERY small portions.
