ObsCure is amazing. ObsCure 2 is amazing for different reasons, it's dumb as shit.

Harvester, not a hidden gem but if you haven't played it already you fucking should.

Arx Fatalis, it's neat and weird and does a lot right. Bit janky, it was obviously designed for Xbox with the detection on the drawn runes.

Cold Fear, proto-Dead Space set on a rusty tanker. Actually it's kind of generic, but I like it anyway. Wins points for infecting the side heroine and then just forgetting about it.

Shadow Man, legitimately great but has a terrible fucking map. Completely missed the Temple of Life on my first playthrough since it's super easy to just get lost in that area of the Voodoo Lands.

Fear Effect, easily has one of the best commitments to aesthetic I've seen without going completely bonkers ala Killer 7 or something.

That's all that I can name off the top of my head. But really there's about ten billion really fucking good PS2/Gamecube/Xbox era games that just completely flew under the fucking radar.

That dumb fucking game is what introduced me to Ninja Gaiden and got me through the whole series, I love it.

The gameplay is radically different. Koudelka is more classic turn based while Shadow Hearts is both turn and timing based.

Future Cop. Great mech game with amazing level variety and fun core gameplay.

One of the best alternate game modes that was literally a forerunner to THE ENTIRE MOBA genre.

Would have sold amazing if EA actually advertised for it at all. Mostly it's just remembered as a really kickass demo people played as kids.
