Why would Dojima send his daughter to live out in Tokyo by herself? And what would it add to either character if they were he same? I like Makoto and Nanako for who they are, and I don't see what could be added to either by putting an unnecessary connection between the two. I would probably still like Makoto if she were Nanako grown up, but I wouldn't understand why they chose to make her Nanako grown up and it would change how I view the character.

Yes, rank 7 unlocks affinity reading which lets you get notes with characters without wasting time (more if you have a persona of their arcana). Sometimes I've had to get two affinity readings to be able to advance certain characters that suffer from having too little responses that give 3 notes (like Ohya and fucking Hifumi).

Pretty simple really

I take about half a bar of butter
Melt in pot with a couple tablespoons of canola oil
Dice up a whole yellow onion and throw in the pot cooking them for like 5 to 7 mins
I use a nice beef chuck roast for my curry that's around 2-3 lbs worth
So slice that in smaller chunks. (Make sure you don't have the pieces too big otherwise they will end up really chewy during the cooking process)
Throw the beef chuck roast pieces into the pot and just brown the meat till all sides are a level above pink
Once that's done you can throw in a variety of vegetables of your choice
I personally do potato, carrot, parsnip and celery
Dice those vegetables and throw them in the pot
Add 7 cups of water
Get the pot to a boil then lower to a simmer
Cover the pot and leave it for like 40 mins
Once that's done add your curry paste (you can find this easily at an Asian market and they are cheap)
Simmer for another 15-20 mins while constantly stirring till you have no clumps from the curry paste

Serve on white rice and enjoy

I don't think the characters were supposed to be perfect fits for their arcana in this game, though I don't know much about the Tarot so maybe I'm wrong. It just occurred to me because both Haru and Mitsuru are the Empress, but they're almost complete opposites, as well as some other characters seeming like they don't fit their arcana. She's incredibly boring.

To make an endearing character you need a strong character and really good pathos and conflict to make them memorable, along with strong characterization. Makoto lacks this completely. Her "struggle" is a half-assed version of Mitsuru and Futaba's social ineptitude. She is a Straight A student council president who up until the events of the game had never known failure. She doesn't have interesting quirks in discussions, she's always straight laced. It's as if a dry book were talking.

Her outfit is easily the worst one in the PT. Very little visual interest going on there, and her mask is the worst one period.

What irritates me a little is how heavy the Makoto push is in-game. She is paired up with the main character in most in-engine cutscenes and animated cutscenes. She is the most versatile party member in the entire game and has the full complement of skill types. She also gets the best weapon in the game which also raises her stats by 10 across the board.

People complain about Marie. Makoto is P5's Marie.
