I'm hoping the subpar quality is down to my flat (which I'm moving out of in 2 weeks). There's loud background noise from creaks and the boiler room directly outside, so I have to perform a ton of noise reduction every time I've recorded.

We never cared for views, likes, money or popularity though, just having some feedback or discussions in the comments about opinions on the stuff we comment would be fine. We seem to have found a balanced schedule for release (2 videos per day with 12 hours of distance aproximately) so we're not having anymore the problem of having entire playthroughs left in the dust.
And yes, we still need to get better mics. We also had a lot of problems in the past by the fact we were using Skype, but now that we're using Discord it seem everything is much smoother and clean.

Personally i would wish to improve my editing skills: wich program should i use and where can i find it?

The only idea i haven't seen done well is a well documented week by week development of an indie game being developed, where they talk about some of the interesting technical problems they faced and how the cleverly got around them.
