It's better than the previous one with the 9 armor mutas in the second attack wave.
I beat it on hard with Nova with an Artanis teammate that constantly got his army nuked because he wasn't paying attention. I still managed to carry him on hard.

zerg is a joke race in sc2.just switch to terran or protoss and save yourself the headache.i switched to protoss a year ago and my mmr skyrocketed up.also the fact that blizzard thinks the way to make the zerg a more viable race is by nerfing them is not helping either.these are some of the changes for the zerg from the last few monts.
brood lord range reduced from 11 to 10
spore crawler damage reduced from 30 to 15
ultralisk maxed out armor is now only 7 instead of 8
ravagers got an "armored" tag so they can be killed more easily
vipers parasitic bomb now takes 7 seconds instead of 3(which combines very well with the spore crawler nerf making zerg have no anti-air whatsoever).

The only one stoned here is you. All three races in SC2 have about the same amount of each type of unit, they're extremely homogenized compared to SC1.

Consider this: In Brood War, the Protoss Robotics Facility could produce 3 units, and none of them had any weapons of their own. 2 of them were air units. That's your "mech" arsenal - enjoy.

neosteel upgrade gives every +2 armor to every building.(zerg cant upgrade building armor they have 0 and 1 armor buildings for all game)

Having your supply in the air is both an advantage and a disadvantage.

It's harder to defend your supply against air raids. Because you can't just block air units off easily. But on the other hand you can reposition it when needed. If your base falls, then you can probably save some supply.

but the gist of Jimpill is that at the beginning of WoL he still loves Kerrigan but hates Queen of Blades, when we meet QoB in mission he calls her Kerrigan as if he was trying to find some bit of her that is still left, then Horner voices concern about what Jim might do when they meet her next after he catches Tychus snooping around in archives and then he boards Valerians ship who then tells him that he can save Sarah Kerrigan, also zeratul says that QoB is the only way to defeat the ancient evil, i think he explicitly says QoB so that might be a hint towards her becoming zerg again, also jimmy becomes a drunk so that also has effect on his choices

I usually play Zerg so I might be a bit biased. But Stukov feels like the best coop commander by far. I've never felt any threat on brutal when I played as him. And he can easily solo most maps (if you dont need to defend more than two points at a time).

The overall plot is an utter and complete shitshow, entirely on their own WoL and HoTS are alright but shit on the rest of the universe and previous build-up by throwing it away for a dumb angsty romance. LoTV is a bit weaker on it's own but in respect of the whole series is more in line with the tone of the universe and aside from the stupid fucking DBZ ending was a solid conclusion to the 5 year shitshow.

Thank fuck the Xel'Naga arc is over and something interesting can happen now.

Well, they hit small units for 20, and the marines start at 40 hp, 0 armour. Firebats are 45 hp, 1 armour. These types of sunken busts are timing attacks before mutas so there won't be armor upgrades for the bio.

So yeah get just one armor upgrade and they'll survive the second hit with 2 hp left, but that's not when these happen.

I think the reason this first mission pack didn't work was that it was just way too padded out and overall felt too much like a set of side-missions than an actual campaign, so people looking at $20 entry fee don't see it as being worth that much and I can't blame them, 2/3 of the first three missions are pretty bad (two stealth iirc) then the entire 2nd portion was pretty forgettable with only the third act being particularly interesting (and it only took Alarak invading Korhal).

It's paced like they were designing an actual 20ish mission campaign like the rest of SC2 and then half of it got scrapped or forgotten so the admittedly cool ideas like the upgrade system never got a chance to mature and be fleshed out beyond a gimmick.

Replaying WoL for 100% achievements recently made me appreciate it's level design a ton more, HoTS and LoTV were such a downgrade, having the Nova customization and adapting based on each level would have been a ton of fun if you had access to most of the upgrades for more than one level.

The fun of SC1 was how each race had a variety of tones, and those tones were then placed into a consistent feel for the universe. The most mystical the Protoss get is with the Templar and the Archons, everything else resembles them as being hyper-advanced tech-wise and that gives them the edge. For example look at the Starcraft 1 Zealot art, it looks like it is barely able to support itself but with the leg implants, body armor, and presumably other genetic or structure modifications it is one of the strongest fighting infantry units in the galaxy, because of the technology, the Protoss mysticism is a sub-theme of the Race in Starcraft while they are mainly an enigmatic technological super power. The closest they get to a universally recognized mysticism is the mind link they share but even then the Khala isn't even taken as extremely as it is in Starcraft 2 (in SC1 Zeratul chides Aldaris for letting Aiur fall to protect his "vaunted religion). In Starcraft 2 they took the idea of the Khala and crystals they use to harness their Psychic energy and decided that was all the Protoss needed, put crystals in everything make ridiculously extravagant designs because they're 'mystical'.

The same thing happened to Zerg, where they reduced the race down to 'bugs' and paid no attention to the themes of cosmic horror and eternal hunger for assimilating everything into itself, for all it's faults HoTS did some things is this direction and it's nowhere near as bad as the shift Protoss went in.

Terran as a whole was pretty well maintained, it's identity of space-cowboys got focused on a bit more but the scientific research and galactic federation are still there.

Well they did put in some lore to make it acceptable (overmind using the same kind of psyenergy as dark templar use) and it was a good way to drive the conflict and show why protoss werent invincible. Didnt feel too forced to me
