He's really more trying to make the point that it removes a large amount of challenge from the game.

Yeah, I liked the fact that there was crouch walking, but it does pose the same kind of challenge issue that Twin Snakes suffered from.

The level design in Twin Snakes remained the same from the original, but because of that the challenge from avoiding guards and taking them out became almost nil. Same goes for ledge hanging and dropping.

There should have been something to add to the level design to complement the crouch walking in 3D.

c-stick is completely worthless for anything but camera adjustments, anything that requires precise movement is jank to do there.
You can also do the claw and use the dpad for aiming but that's just asking for arthritis.

Even if you hack the N3DS to make games use the extra processing, MGS3D still runs like ass.

Worse, the triggers being horizontal makes every control layout hell, and the analog nipple sucks when you have to use it constantly.

Plus you're missing a shitload of content from Subsistence, hell it's more barebones than the original release.

Originally, MGS3D was going to be a fully upgraded remake with improved textures and non-shit framerate. But during its development the 3DS hit that sales nosedive which forced Nintendo to slash the price. Konami saw this panic and scaled the game way back into a half-assed port with a handful of minor improvements.

To be fair a lot of developers did the same thing at the time, with several games like AssCreed and MML3 getting outright canceled.
