Man. If you're used to KB&M you can't really expect any tips to get past it. You just need to practice with a controller. I remember playing Halo reach on x360 a few years ago and the normal difficulity was like the hardest one because i couldn't aim. Once i got used to it it's a little better. Recently replayed Darksiders for pc with a controller and the aiming in there reminded me of some console shooters. It's bad but you'll get used to it.

I want to git gud but I keep getting stuck in this mindset. I miss a shot; "If I were on PC, I wouldn't have missed that shot." Higher sensitivity could help.
Also, try playing different FPS games at home with a controller. Consoles (as you know) are weaker thus making the experience of playing a shooter much more different than on a PC, this could also be the problem and the controller could not be at fault.

Not him, but for Halo, I found using the left stick just for strafing/foot movement, and then setting the right stick at head level with a dmr and using left stick to stay on target worked well. That way I wasnt trying to stay on target with someone from a totally fixed position and trying to aim with the right stick. Left/right on left stick, up/down only on right.

I recently tried that and it could help a lot but it's not perfect. Some of it is due to learning to aim at the higher sensitivity, bu you still can't get the perfect 180+ degree snaps you can get with a mouse, and your aim has to be much more predictive instead of twitchy to deal with this in regular aiming as well. I basically have to abandon all my PC aiming tricks because of this. But this is my first time attempting to play on console at a real competent level instead of just blowing through a campaign. It hurts that my hours of practice on PC mean so little.

It isn't a trace. The proportions are completely different in addition to the flip, and half the body is in a different pose. It would require so much effort to attempt to rework the first image into the second that even the most incompetent artist would be better off just drawing something new entirely. It's a common pose to show off legs, it's expected that they would look somewhat similar, but the exact positions and angles of the body are different between the two pictures.

Because I started playing PC games at middle school and even then I realized that PC was superior for controls. I'm only playing this game on console because my best friend wanted to find a game to play together. It's a fun game but it's a nightmare to have to learn to use a controller when your experience with FPS is so far beyond mastering basic movement. He even apologized to me for pressuring me to buy the game when he realized how painful it was to have to suffer through shitty console players and controls.

Unless you're like 40, your post makes no sense. I'm 26 and grew up gaming on a computer. I didn't get a console until the PS2 because I preferred PC games. Even back during the C64 era that I only briefly experience you could play on your computer and have a decent selection of games to choose from.

It's not until you go even further back than that that you'd find yourself turning to consoles for games, and back then you'd be looking at joysticks rather than the kind of controllers you're on about.

I didn't buy a console for him, just this one $40 game. It's even lesser value because he linked his PS4 to mine and buys most of his games digital, giving them to me for free. Buying just one game so I can play with him was fine and helps to balance out the gifts he's given to me.

Why do I feel like the only goddamned person on the planet that can be good at both? I play a shitton of RUST and can take on entire groups by myself, and have days of playtime at the top rooms on both Destiny and Cawwadooty. I felt Blacklight Retribution was a far better game on PS4 than PC due to the balancing around controller vs mouse and keyboard because it was far less high HP high damage lasers which gave speed builds a purpose.

Why is it so hard to just accept they're both good ecosystems that have their place? Some games do well as console shooters and others like overwatch play like dick and should just stay on PC.

Maybe, except Overwatch is principally designed for PC play, and slight changes in balance for consoles doesn't actually change the fundamentals of the game. This means that you're stuck playing a mind-numbing game because you are given a means of input the game isn't designed to support. There's no way characters like McCree or Tracer were designed with console compatibility in mind.

If you can describe how you're good at Overwatch on console I'd be happy to accept your advice.
