I agree, but New Vegas still had a lot going for it, if it was finished, it could be the best RPG ever, but now there's too many shortcomings.
But I hate the Witcher 3 even more, that game left a bad taste in my mouth, it was a slap across the face, with it's "deep and intriguing" story and characters, the non-existent RPG system, Assassin's Creed gameplay and Telltale type of choices. I played it for the first time myself like two years ago, enjoyed it and 2 a ton. They're still the only classic WRPGs I've beaten though, which really needs to be remedied.

Max or set your Agility and Intelligence incredibly high.
Only spec one combat skill (guns recommended) to at least 125 - 150 so you don't miss like a blind man.

You fail to see the point entirely. I'm not saying that modern games are all shit. What I'm saying is that a "modern" gamer will always be a gamer with shit taste, able to enjoy only less than half of what the gaming industry has offered in the last 20 years.
You see, if you played games like Fallout, Deus Ex, System shock 2 when they where released, things like graphics and lack of hand-holding streamlined mechanics where a non existing issue. Because their graphics graphics and gameplay where on par (or better) with what we were used to expect at the time.
I enjoyed those games because I played them when they where supposed to be played. Meanwhile I can also play modern games like The Witcher 3, Soulsborne, etc... and enjoy them equally as much (because I'm not a nostalgia-googles retard). Modern-day kiddos, on the other hand, can only enjoy modern games. The chances for them to be able to withstand games that "didn't age well" are pretty slim. It's too late for them to experience things like the enjoyment of playing fallout 2 for the first time.
