How would you feel about a Zelda that aimed for grounded visuals?

It depends. TP had kind of a shitty art style, so if they could improve on that it would be neat. The moblins will always look goofy in 3D but other stuff could look cool.

I'd rather not. I don't think Nintendo can pull off another OOT artstyle that looks good today even though it's not cartoony.
If they did something like TP again that would be terrible. BOTW looks good, and I don't see it feeling dated anytime soon.
I feel that the last two games found a good balance between cartoony, like Wind Waker, and realistic, like Twilight Princess.
I think a grotesquely realistic Majora's Mask would be an amazing experience.
Trying to turn a stylized fantasy game into a photo-realistic tech demo would be as much of a disaster as every other time that's been tried.
>Chilling in Australia
>See yet another spider crawling around my house
>Inspect it closely because I have an understanding with the spider kings of the area
>It has a skull on its back
Neat.
It might be actually worth playing instead of the childish shit they keep throwing at you now.
i would rather have them focus on good gameplay this time
It would maybe be novel for a few minutes, but ultimately graphics in video games haven't impressed me since I was 15. We've gotten to the point that even the best graphics don't invoke anything better than "Hey that looks nice." Game developer's time is better spent in the art design than HD graphics.
To this day I don't understand how people can look at TP and say "realistic"
That would require Nintendo to make an actual powerful console.
Which they will never do.

Aonuma would kill himself before Zelda ever stopped being Toon Link goofyness.
Even TP was pretty stupid most of the time.
