The difference is that devs that arent nintendo and publishers that arent nintendo have been caught multiple times paying for reviews, and (although for all we know this suddenly changed with BOTW, but highly unlikely) nintendo has been notorious for not giving a single shit about western game journalism, never running conferences/meetups/free-paid-vacations-for-jouros and being extremely stingy with review copies of their titles. What do you even do in Zelda? I haven't played it so I can't comment on it. But it seems all I hear it's just people doing shrines, which as I understand it are tiny dungeons, and doing sort of but not really fetch quests?

Is there like main quests you do? What do you even get rewarded with for doing quests and stuff? Isn't the game based around equipment breaking after a few swings?

Resolution has always been snake oil. Pixels-per-inch is far more important and honestly, I wish we could just stick to multiples of 96PPI like the standard suggests and pick the multiple that's actually appropriate. Beats me. It really is a shame, I loved getting new ones regularly. I'd been reading it since its debut in the early Wii days and it really made me appreciate not only Iwata himself but Nintendo's inner workings and made them feel far warmer than "just another developer/manufacturer".

It's why I loved the Iwata era of Nintendo so much. Reading this stuff always made me feel like they genuinely cared about what they do, even if they don't always hit the mark. I have a Wii U. I have one game on that list. The overlap on this list is minor, 2 racing games, 2 mario games (3 I guess if you include smash), and that's about it. Point is that the WiiU had some games, but lacked a wider appeal. For most people they would buy at most 3 games on that list, I don't really think that's enough to justify a console, and is incidentally why I personally feel a little burnt as a WiiU early adopter.
