I should have do this before

Installed the game and played through the first section for about an hour.
The crack works perfectly and I didn't have any crashes. Have starts up nice and quick too.

My (relevant) specs are:
4gb r9 290X
i5 4570t (2c/4t @2.9Ghz boost up to 3.3Ghz)
16gb ddr3 2133 ram

I am able to max out the game at 1920x1080 without it dropping below 55fps. The cutscenes can be a bit choppy, but they are capped to 30fps and pre rendered.
I would also seriously recommend installing the FAR patch, which you can find in the stream forums. The dev thinks it doesn't work with pirated versions, but I was able to get the compatibility version working fine.

Lastly, I saw a few posts on Reddit about how to activate the dlc, but I didn't have any of it downloaded and the posts weren't very clear on what to do either.

Pretty good release overall though.

I first tried the automatic installer, but it couldn't detect the nier installation, so I switched to the manual. There's a download link to a .7z file in the steam thread, and you just unzip that in your installation folder.
The steam post tells you how to edit one of the ini files with which version of the patch you want. Just copy and paste the line for compatibility mode/last stable release into that file. There's one more line you have to paste, then when you start the game it should prompt you to download and install the new version of the patch.
Do the automatic install/update and restart the game. It should be working.

In the past couple years I've learned that there are only two times where you're going to get good discussion about a game.

One is immediately (<2 months) after a game comes out and the other is many years after the game has come out.

The downside to immediately doing it is the fear of people shilling the game but so long as you're actually throwing out long posts and asking indepth questions people are going to respond in kind. The downside to doing it years later is that fewer people are around to talk about it but you're going to have the most unrestrained discussion because the useless people never knew enough to effectively troll at that point.

The sad bit is the time in between. Which is where we are now with the game. With most people having finished talking about the game the phoneposting one-like-post retards have woefully outnumbered the people talking about it. So discussions get derailed over useless shit (like piracy) not to mention this access to piracy options invites a fairly useless subset of people who could not afford a pitiful expenditure of ~$80. Not to say people who pirate are bad people but if you asked me which group had more faggots I'd lean on pirate moreso than people with money. At this point every idiot YouTuber has made their stupid "Everything Wrong With" video and people have watched them and are flooding these threads with their non-critical factoids. And they don't care if the criticisms are verified or proven wrong, they just waste everyone's time as people try to point out the errors or acknowledge it's a problem.
