In the files they detailed that Knoth founded the town in the 70s, when there were alot of Christian cults starting up. If not for whatever happened they probably would have been hippies. Also Knoth should have been pushing 80 in the game.

One thing I didn't like about the game is none of the enemies were ever memorable. There was crazy cross lady, crazy heretic lady, and shit covered villagers. The only one in the entire cast that was remotely interesting was the master blaster duo.

I was at the part where you find a note writer by some woman talking about how she saw a vision of a monster with cocks for arms, how she wants to get impregnated by the cult leader and have the anti-Christ die in her womb. Fucked up shit, but it's pretty standard horror crap. I was 100% immersed in the setting and story, but I suddenly had this thought ''wait a sec, this is written by an atheist, it's not like the character is real, this was written by some atheist who is projecting his sick fantasies onto this character''. After that I simply can't take the game seriously at all.

When you see some guy talking about how he is going to cut out some baby from a womb and rape it to resurrect Christ or some shit, that's not the character saying it, that's some atheist writing it all and coming up with all that shit. It's not the character that is fucked in the head, it's the writers.
I can't get immersed in these kinds of stories anymore.
If they wanted a crazy cult they should have picked a fictional religion, like Lovecraft shit.
