I just somewhat brought that up. There are several rumors going around Retro is working on a new ip for the Switch along with Metroid Prime 4 for the Switch(Prime 4 may not be showed at E3 this year) and Climax Studios is working on a 2.5D Metroid Fusion sequel for the 3DS and possibly Switch. Prime 4 will most likely be produced by Tanabe and Metroid 5 by Sakamoto. For the 2.5D game I can also see some members of EPD7 (the ones who worked on an actual Metroid game) to be working with Climax Studios on this. The 2.5D Metroid game is rumored to be revealed at E3 this year.

I think the standard zero suit and normal suit is fine.

I think the high heels should be an attachment to the zero suit that allow you to jump much higher but have a downside.

I think there should be attachments for the suit that do similar things.

I think the next metroid game should have your spaceship as a hub, and you have to collect 7 major bounties as the main plot.

As you start capturing them you learn of a hidden plot etc. the final planet is revealed and you have to beat ridley as a boss half way through the planet and then a final boss at the end.

You would be able to go zero suit whenever you want and you'd be more mobile but you'd die in like 1 hit and your offense would be way worse but you'd be able to do some fairly basic stealth in it if you don't want to fight some enemies. Some of the boss segments would require you to switch to zero suit to avoid some attacks or to get to a place where you can damage them via swinging with the whip.

The GFeds are not supposed to be centered on Earth, if anything Other M fucked everything up by making the GFeds look like they were entirely a Human force. The fucking manual says explicitly that it is a federation of "many different planets in the galaxy" next to a FUCKING PICTURE OF FOUR ALIENS (including a Chozo) AND NO HUMANS SITTING AT A TABLE TOGETHER. What the manual says about Earth is only that they were going to research Metroid there. Earth probably has a nice research station or is conveniently close to SR388 in Federation Space.
Ridley and Samus just don't have much to say to each other during the games because they're already mortal enemies.
The pirates didn't really start wearing a lot of armor until like Prime though? Hell I mean didn't Zebesians not even show up proper until Super before they remade Metroid into Zero Mission?
The GFeds in the manga were totally a military force and had a standing fleet, if you're going to police your federation I would think you would need a fleet even if you don't have a proper military branch. Show me one piece of evidence anywhere in the manuals or in game that actually says the galactic federation is centered on Earth. If you notice, that wiki article you linked me references two different manuals which actually say different things. The original manual does not mention ANY Federation Headquarters in fact, it only mentions that the Metroid sample was being brought to Earth. Super's Manual retcons this to them being brought to Federation Headquarters instead but does not mention Earth at all. Honestly it just seems like the manuals were created on the fly without any thought to a serious continuity, as many trivial details of the first contact with Metroids are altered between them. And Metroid is not free of retcons, I mean Samus having a history with the Chozo wasn't even added until a magazine article much later. You won't find a single reference to Federation Headquarters and Earth in the same version of the story.
