Even disregarding the glitching, how can people hate on these levels with that potential for fast and platforming? The only moment there's any kind of camera issue is when he purposefully outruns it because he knows the level and when he goes out of bounds. I always remember enjoying those levels, thanks for reminding me why.

I like the concept of the Sonic portions of the Adventure games, but they're still awkward, buggy messes. If they could perfect it, get rid of all the filler mech/hunting stages, and make a proper length game out of it then I would probably enjoy it more than the boost games

Adventure 1 has its charm but it's basically unplayable compared to the newer 3D games in the series.

Adventure 2 is has some of the worst level design in a game I can think of and lost most of the charm of the first game. It's at least playable as a platformer unlike 1 though.

Both games are fairly garbage. I enjoyed them immensely as a kid but can sit down and look at them somewhat objectively now.

True, I really didn't like Sonic CD nearly as much as the others. The time mechanic destroyed speed/momentum. Sonic 2 in my opinion is where the series peaked - perfect blend of speed and platforming. Sonic 1 had more speed than platforming, Sonic 3/CD had more platforming than speed. Adventure games were a clusterfuck of different gameplay styles and ideas that didn't meld well. Filled with non interactive auto-run segments that you could put a controller down to. A camera that you were fighting with every step of the way. Poor lip syncing and aged 3d models and cutscenes. Sold poorly on dead consoles.

Pretty mediocre in every respect. How could anyone possibly say it is the pinnacle of the series when the facts state otherwise. Unless it was their first Sonic game.

Speaking as one of the unleashed fags, heres something you have to realize. We generally like the werehog gameplay and dont have a vitriolic hate for it like IGN brainwashed everyone to do. However, we also agree it could have used some tuning and adjustments, but for a first attempt it was very solid and the last time there was fully 3D platforming levels. A sequel would have really ironed out its flaws.

The only one I've played a lot of is Blaze remastered and that one is pretty great. No bugs on that that I've found so far, but again I haven't experimented with other mod characters a lot. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I know that stages tend to be pretty buggy, though. Once you complete enough stages to unlock custom teams, I find it is helpful to make a team consisting of the character you actually want to play as plus Rouge or someone else who can climb vertical surfaces, and maybe someone who can fly. Between those abilities you can get around a lot of bugs.
