They added a new currency because people needed a gold sink so they made a new currency that takes your gold and runs it through the RNG chest system to produce the ones you need to craft cards. It was terrible at the start because the math checks out at over 10x the additional grind but now they added disenchant so it's roughly half that right now. New players get shafted and older ones get so much of it that it ended up the opposite of what it should have done.

I've taken a liking to playing it.
One thing I've noticed is that the maps are MUCH larger then OW's maps. Honestly, playing Paladins made me realize how cramped all of the maps in OW are.

And honestly even with overwatch I primarily played like 3 characters

After 37 hours in the game, the biggest downside is how useless some of the champs are, if your a tank thorvald and fernando are the only good choices, same with healers, either pick ying or grover, otherwise your healing sucks, the damage is more balanced but even then kinessa, skye, are the obvious choices.

As far as the grind, maybe its because I played the game early and they gave people free gold for shit you had they removed from game, but I already have all the characters at 37 hours, which is fucking nothing, and a good deal of the cards.

Its grind is really minimal desu, the only grind I dont like is having to get masteries on a bunch of characters to play ranked, which wouldnt be so bad if half the cast were so bad, Ive already mastered the useful champs
