Physical is still cheaper if you don't buy games at launch. I'm nearly done with my PS3 backlog, still don't have a new gen console. Even then there are only a handful of games I look forward to playing on PS4. I only buy digital for games I can't find physically or huge sales.

People like physical collections. Also once upon a time games had "instruction manuals" and were a good read with nice art and useful tips. Reselling is also a good way to save physical space and get games cheaper.

The advantages of digital: game sharing, no physical commitment, convenience. You can also safely hide your power level if need be.

I do both because I'm older and have gotten over the physical collection thing. I'm also nomadic so maybe that's why.

There's one game I can think of that does this, THPS5. That game was also a complete mess so I highly doubt anyone else will follow in their footsteps.

I liked physical more, but in this age digital sales are too good. I haven't got a single physical game in like 3 years, my backlog its so big I don't play games until 1 or 2 years after release so I just wait and get them for $15 or less on a sale. Also I used to resale and trade games but I don't have time for that anymore.

I have data caps, stuck getting physical regardless because every game this gen went from 8gb to 50gb.
