Let's start with uncensored versions of Fatal Frame 5, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Fire Emblem games and all the other shit from the past few years that they made "more palatable for western audiences" where "western" means "Saudi Arabia". From what I understand it both is and isn't. Essentially, the console has to output higher graphical fidelity in docked mode as the game is set to render at a higher resolution and with additional effects. These are disabled in mobile mode to save battery.

The issue is that the game is overestimating the power of the console in docked mode, so it's a software issue in that the game shouldn't push the console that hard and a hardware issue in that the console is too weak to handle the sub-1080p resolution being thrown at it.

The alternative would to be to have the game output at the same fidelity it does in handheld mode to preserve framerate but that would probably look awful upscaled to 1080p or higher.

The problem is that the dock is just a piece of plastic that can upscale the image, all the power to make the thing not look like ass in 1080p is in the small comes from the console, obviously it'll stutter when playing in 1080p.

I'd even consider buying if they lowered the graphics to make the game playable without lag in 1080p, because I don't really give a shit about graphics, and I have my PC for that, but having the game lag whenever anything important is happening is unacceptable.

Release a Pokemon MMO with every single region, you can go anywhere but your starter region determines what pokemon are near. Massively increase the number of side quests etc, make it so some story missions require multiple people. Make a fuck tonne of social experiences you can share with people, hang out etc, rent your own apartment to furnish. It could become what Playstation Home was going to be, alongside being a Pokemon Game.

I legitimately want a Switch, however, there are an abundance of problems with it. These would fix it for me.

1) Sturdier, tighter, firmer hardware. Even brand new they are wobbly. The joycons feel slightly flimsy, like you could snap them off on accident.

2) A dock that doesn't scratch the fucking screen. This should actually be number one.

3) An AC port that isn't on the bottom of the fucking controller.

Make a slightly tweaked redesign. Call it the Switch Lite or whatever you want. Just fix the lazy assembly of the hardware and its accessories.

I'm already sold on it. Just purchased a physical version of Binding of Isaac, since they had one copy left of the one that was discontinued.

I think it's the best console so far, even with its limited library. The game purchases actually feel more meaningful than the Xbone/PS4, since they're cartridges. A good portion of games ought to be unique once we eventually get a slew of them, etc. It's more of a straight up console, and I appreciate that.

Played a little bit of Zelda on my friend's switch (he already beat the game) it seems like a game that I'd get bored of after 20 hours. So I can't really justify the $60 + Tax.
On the other hand I know, lifetime, I'll probably sink 100 hours in Mario Kart while I'm listening to an album or some podcasts. Same may go for Splatoon 2, not sure since I never played the first one.

Zelda looks nice but I wouldn't buy a system for it alone. Might look into it in the future once the hardware is inevitably revised and more games make their way to the system.

If Sony had made another PSP with a good lineup of games, no stupid propriety memory card bullshit, and no mandatory online sub fee I'd get that instead not because I am a fanboy of either camp but more to do with Sony not being as stringent as Nintendo when it comes to censorship.

For now I didn't choose either camp, went with a gpd win instead and love it.
